This privacy policy sets out how we collect, protect and use the personal information provided to us by potential and existing customers, employees, suppliers, and associates.

In all cases, we comply with all applicable UK laws concerning the protection of personal information, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Any information you provide to us via this website, or by any other means will be used in accordance with this privacy policy.

Throughout this document the term ‘we’ refers to NewFound Energy Ltd &/or Albar Associates (Albar Associates are a trading company of NewFound Energy Ltd), and ‘you’ or ‘your’ refers to any individual whose personal data is held by NewFound Energy Ltd.

This website uses cookies to provide us with information for use in statistical analysis within Google Search Console & Microsoft (Bing) Webmaster Tools.
The data collected is anonymous and used only to help us understand how you are finding & using this website.

We can see how long you spend on each page, how you got to this website (search terms used, or links from other sites etc), and the type of device you are using to view it (PC, mobile, tablet, browser used). The general location from where you are viewing this website may also be available to us.

This analytical data is retained for 90 days in the case of Google Search Console, and 6 months in the case of Bing Webmaster Tools.

Most web browsers automatically accept cookies but if you prefer you can modify your browser settings to decline cookies at any time. For more information please visit allaboutcookies.org.

Other than that described above, this website does not actively collect any personal information about you except where you have explicitly used it to contact us (e.g. via the email links).
Any information you provide in this way will be held securely whilst in our possession in accordance with UK data protection & GDPR legislation, and will never be shared with any third party without your express consent, unless we are required to do so by law.
We do not sell, rent or exchange your personal information with any third party for commercial reasons.

In most cases, the information we hold has been given to us directly by you by phone, via social media, email, in letters, or through other correspondence, or given to us in person.
The only exception to this is where we have received an ‘opt-in’ delegates list from a trade show or exhibition at which we have exhibited.

We do not purchase mailing lists or databases from third parties.

We may hold a combination of the following information about you;
Name
Position in company
Company address
Home address
Email address
Phone number (landline &/or mobile)
Credit/Debit card information when they have been used to make a purchase

We hold your data electronically on office PCs, laptops, & mobile devices, within email client program’s contacts lists and document files (letters, quotes, order acknowledgements etc).

Hard/paper copies of documents containing personal data are also held within our office.

We do not store credit/debit card information for any longer than absolutely necessary. When a purchase is made from us using a credit or debit card, the card account details are used to process the payment and then immediately destroyed.

Physical & electronic security measures are in place to reduce the risk of theft, loss or disclosure of personal data.
These include but are not limited to the use of security locks & alarm systems, CCTV, and encryption.

We do not sell, rent or exchange your personal information with any third party for commercial reasons.

Your data is never shared with any third party except where we are required to do so by law, or when necessary to complete a sales transaction (e.g. sharing credit/debit card details with our bank in order to take payment for goods), or with your direct & specific consent.
This may be for example in a scenario in which a potential customer asks for a reference from an existing user of the product or system they are interested in. We would ask you directly for permission to share your email address &/or phone number with them and would only do so once consent has been given.
We would not use this consent as a basis for sharing with anyone other than the original potential customer.

For employees of NewFound Energy Ltd, information may be shared with government departments & financial institutions as necessary for the payment of salary, taxes, pension contributions and other such requirements under the normal employer/employee relationship.

We use the personal data we hold in a number of ways;

a) To provide information about our products & services to interested parties.
b) On an occasional basis, to keep existing customers informed about the products they own/use, changes to them, and available updates.
c) To respond to queries or problems raised by existing customers (i.e. to provide customer service)
d) During the sales process to provide quotations, order acknowledgements, delivery information, invoices and other documentation, and to take payment for goods.
e) To inform existing & potential customers of our presence at upcoming trade shows & exhibitions.
f) As necessary under the normal employer/employee relationship for payment of salary, taxes, pension contribution etc.

Legitimate Interest
In most cases the data processing we undertake is done because of a Legitimate Interest.
In practice this means that we are providing information that we believe to be of interest to the recipient, or that we have a legitimate reason for processing data in this way and that it is not unreasonable for the recipient to expect us to do so.

This will include information sent to existing customers about new or updated products or services, and information sent to people who have previously shown an interest in such products or services but may not have actually made a purchase.

Contract
During the sales process, or where there is a Support/Maintenance Contract in place, our processing of personal data falls under the Contract basis.
This includes when you are sent a quotation, invoice, or delivery documentation, and when payment details are processed.
It also includes communications deemed necessary under the obligations placed on us by a Support/Maintenance Contract.

Data processing is also required and performed under a contractual basis for employees of NewFound Energy Ltd for payment of salary, taxes and pension contributions, and in the normal employer/employee relationship.

If we collected your data during a sales process it will be held by us until such time that we believe, or you tell us, that you are no longer interested in our products or services and are not likely to be in the future.

Information collected for the purpose of payment for goods (i.e. credit/debit card details), is held only until payment has been taken.

Employee data is held for as long as legally required.

At any time you can;
a) request to see the information we hold about you,
b) ask that we correct errors in the data we hold,
c) request the restriction of your personal data (under which data can be held but not processed),
d) request that we delete the personal data we hold relating to you,
e) object to how your data is being used and the legal basis used to justify that processing.

To do so please contact us using the contact details on this website.
