How our Systems Work.

ATLAS Energy Monitoring Systems

Using an ATLAS system to monitor the power use at your facility can lead to significant savings on your energy bills.
The range of
ATLAS energy monitoring systems consist of three component parts, the resource meters, loggers and PC software.

The meters can be metering any resource, be it electricity, gas, water, compressed air etc, as long as they have a pulse output (or a 4-20mA output which can be interfaced with our I/F 1 converter).
The pulse outputs from these meters are wired into either an Atlas Logger or a Micro Logger where the pulses are logged and the information stored in the loggers memory.
The loggers are polled by the PC software on the system Data Collection PC at a user determined interval when the data stored in the loggers is copied into the system databases. This information can then be displayed or reported on in various ways.

With the ATLAS and MiniATLAS systems, the software can also be installed on network users PCs to enable them to analyse the data collected without leaving their desk. Finance people can produce in house bills and Production Managers can confirm efficiency of manufacture.

ATLAS System Layout Picture

The diagram above shows the possible layout of an ATLAS series system as well as the various PC to Logger communication options available.
All communication methods can be used with any type of logger. Loggers can all be on the same site or at different locations.
